231 Ellsworth's intimate bar echoes the curved ceiling.
Superb Wine List
The wine list at 231 Ellsworth is 50 pages long and reads like a book. Divided by color, country, region and varietal, it's a real page turner.
Every time you start to get bored, you'll discover a gem that propels you to the next page. If you love wine, you won't be able to put it down.
Once you start looking at the prices, you'll be amazed. On the older vintages, you can find wines that are cheaper than wholesale. That's because managing partner and wine director Richard Milkovich thinks current vintages have become so expensive that he can get older wines for about the same price.
You can also get both the 1962 and 1970 Beaulieu Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon for $250. Each category offers multiple vintages, such as three Caymus Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignons and two regular vintages; four vintages of Spottswoode Cabernet Sauvignon; six vintages or vineyard designations of Williams Selyem Pinot Noir. Milkovich has also acquired multiple Chardonnay vintages in Gary Farrell,
Kalin, Kistler and Grgich Hills to name a few.
