KALIN 1992 SEMILLON LIVERMORE VALLEY ($30.00) WHITE 90 

This young, backward, yet promising wine is subdued aromatically, but it reveals impressive richness and a focused personality. Medium to full-bodied, pure and expressive, it is a Semillon that should easily drink well for 5-7 years… at the minimum. Attractive, lime-like, waxy flavors combine with good body and surprisingly rich extract to give a layered, multidimensional character to this wine. Proprietor Terry Leighton has always produced California’s finest and longest-lived Semillon, and the 1992 again proves he has lost none of his magical touch.
